And our training facility, The Bubble – a place where we train more than just basketball players; we train the next generation of leaders, problem-solvers, and hard workers. Our mission is simple: to ensure every student-athlete has the opportunity to build a strong foundation in the game of basketball and life. We understand that basketball is more than just a sport – it’s a tool that can teach invaluable lessons about hard work, discipline, perseverance, and respect.
Established by Reggie Brown, a former athlete who played at the high school and collegiate levels, Elevate to Assist is committed to giving back to the community. From starting small, training a handful of kids for free, to running a full-scale training facility at The Bubble, our goal has always been to help young athletes grow in confidence, basketball IQ, and mental toughness. We’ve helped countless kids improve their game, build character, and take their athletic careers to the next level.
We take pride in creating an environment that emphasizes effort, mental toughness, resilience, mutual respect, and the importance of paying it forward. We believe that nothing is given –everything must be earned. That’s why we don’t just focus on physical skills; we train the mentality. We teach our athletes how to work hard when no one is watching, stay disciplined even when things get tough, and push through obstacles with the mindset of a champion. We aim to develop athletes who are champions on the court and leaders and mentors who uplift their communities and teammates. Whether our athletes go on to play professionally, attend college, or enter the workforce, the mindset we instill will stay with them forever.
We emphasize that success doesn’t stop with individual growth. True greatness lies in helping others rise as well. Our athletes are encouraged to elevate their skills and mindset and assist those behind them. This philosophy of reciprocation is at the heart of "Elevate to Assist."
At The Bubble, we pride ourselves on being more than just a basketball training facility. While basketball is at our core, we understand that proper athletic development goes far beyond one sport. We believe in developing all-around athletes who are prepared to face challenges, succeed in their sport, and ultimately become better people. Whether it’s basketball, volleyball, football, softball, track and field, baseball, or any other sport, we’ve designed our programs to build skills, strength, mental toughness, and resilience for athletes of all backgrounds.
We believe that the principles of hard work, discipline, mental toughness, respect, and the willingness to assist others apply to every athlete, no matter what sport they’re pursuing, and help them excel at the highest levels. Whether it’s through sharing lessons learned, mentoring younger athletes, or embodying sportsmanship, our athletes leave The Bubble with the tools to excel themselves and help elevate those around them.
Are you ready to train hard and elevate your game? Let’s get to work.
Our mission at Elevate to Assist Skills Foundation is to provide free basketball training to every child, regardless of their background or financial situation. We want to ensure that every kid, no matter where they come from, has access to the same opportunities for growth, skill development, and mentorship.
We believe that basketball is a vehicle for building not only athletic skills but also life skills. We focus on teaching the values of hard work, dedication, respect, perseverance, and reciprocation. At Elevate to Assist, we ensure that every athlete understands the importance of paying it forward. As they rise, they are encouraged to assist those coming behind them, carrying on the cycle of growth, mentorship, and leadership.
We are also deeply committed to honoring the legacy of Reggie Brown’s late brother, Jamaal Brown, who exemplified the values we hold dear. Jamaal’s mantra, “TOO EASY,” reminds us that anything is possible with hard work, respect, and the right mentality. His legacy fuels our dedication to building strong athletes and stronger individuals who understand the power of giving back.
Reggie Brown is the founder and head coach of Elevate to Assist Skills Foundation and The Bubble. A former athlete who excelled at the high school and collegiate levels, Reggie’s journey into coaching and mentorship began out of a deep desire to help kids reach their full potential as basketball players and individuals.
After playing college basketball and coaching at the university level, Reggie transitioned to training young athletes. He started by offering free training to a small group of kids at Kennedale High School, loading his truck with equipment and training them outside each weekend. His passion for developing players and building a strong foundation in the game led him to open The Bubble, a gym dedicated to training the body and the mind.
Reggie is deeply inspired by his older brother, Jamaal Brown, who played basketball at Ohio State and had an illustrious career as an athlete. Jamaal was a role model to Reggie and countless others, and his influence continues to guide Reggie’s coaching philosophy. Reggie is committed to keeping Jamaal’s legacy alive by fostering a similar work ethic, dedication, and passion in the young athletes he trains.
In addition to coaching basketball, Reggie mentors his athletes to be better people, teaching them how to face adversity, work hard, and stay disciplined. He believes that with the right mindset, effort, and perseverance, anything is possible. Reggie’s ultimate goal is to inspire young athletes to bet on themselves, work for their dreams, and elevate their lives to new heights.
Reggie Brown’s journey as a coach and mentor is deeply rooted in the legacy of his older brother, Jamaal Brown, whose life and career continue to inspire everything we do at Elevate to Assist Skills Foundation at The Bubble.
Jamaal, a standout athlete at Sam Houston High School in Arlington, Texas, rose to prominence as a basketball star at Ohio State University, where he wore the iconic number 30. During his time with the Buckeyes, Jamaal helped lead the team to back-to-back Big Ten Championships, scored over 1,000 career points, and was named team captain in his senior year.
But Jamaal’s impact went far beyond his accolades on the court. He was celebrated for his incredible work ethic and discipline and his perseverance and determination on and off the court. His favorite saying, “TOO EASY,” wasn’t about dismissing challenges—it was about believing that with the right mindset and effort, no challenge was insurmountable.
For Reggie, Jamaal was not just a big brother but a hero, mentor, and lifelong inspiration. Reggie saw firsthand how Jamaal balanced his talent with relentless hard work and a commitment to uplifting those around him. That same ethos now forms the foundation of Elevate to Assist: the belief that every athlete can achieve greatness and is responsible for assisting others in their journey.
To honor Jamaal’s memory and the legacy of #30, the number serves as a reminder of the values he embodied: hard work, confidence, and a commitment to helping others succeed. Every time athletes step into The Bubble, they are encouraged to reflect on Jamaal’s example and strive to elevate themselves while making the path easier for the next generation.
In 2023, to further honor Jamaal’s incredible impact, Reggie, along with his family (parents Otis and Rosie Brown and sister Thasunda Brown Duckett) and the Otis & Rosie Brown Foundation, launched the Annual Jamaal Brown Invitational. This basketball event brings together athletes to celebrate his life, his legacy, and the values he instilled in those who knew him.
Jamaal’s influence has continued to guide Reggie every step of the way. From his humble beginnings training kids for free at Kennedale High School to the opening of The Bubble, Reggie has always been motivated by the desire to honor his brother’s legacy. Jamaal was the original #30, and his spirit lives on in every kid who walks through the doors of The Bubble to work on their game and mindset.
In 2023, to further honor Jamaal’s incredible impact, Reggie and the Elevate to Assist Skills Foundation launched the Annual Jamaal Brown Invitational, a basketball event that brings together athletes to celebrate his life, his legacy, and the values he instilled in those who knew him.
Reggie’s commitment to training kids goes far beyond the basketball court. He’s not just coaching the physical aspects of the game; he’s mentoring his athletes on how to carry themselves with discipline, face adversity head-on, and keep pushing forward when things get tough. The “TOO EASY” mentality that Jamaal lived by is woven into the fabric of every session at The Bubble – reminding the athletes that with the right mindset, hard work, and a commitment to their craft, anything is possible.
For Reggie, every day of coaching is an opportunity to pass on the values his brother taught him. He continues to honor Jamaal’s memory by shaping the next generation of athletes to excel in basketball and live with the same sense of purpose, dedication, and resilience that Jamaal displayed throughout his life.
"Keep watching over me, I love you. #TOOEASY."
